Meet Louise, Brinton Park’s new Community Engagement Officer

We’re pleased to welcome Louise as the new Community Engagement Officer for Brinton Park.

The role is funded through the National Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the wider Brinton Park project.

Louise will be working with the community to help people enjoy the park’s new facilities, activities and events.

She joins the project at an exciting time, as work to improve Brinton Park reaches its final stages.

Louise said:

“I’m looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to explore the new features and enjoy the park in new ways.

“Before joining Wyre Forest District Council, I worked at Geoscience Australia, where I ran a small education centre, offered tours to public visitors and created new indoor and outdoor exhibits.

“My background in visitor engagement and events will help me support the next stage of the Brinton Park project, bringing the park’s spaces, heritage and natural environment to life for the community.”

Looking ahead

Louise has already had the chance to visit the park, including attending one of the Music in the Park events at the bandstand. She has also previewed the new and refurbished facilities, which are nearing completion.

Over the coming months, residents can look forward to a wide range of activities in Brinton Park. The new community room will provide a welcoming indoor space for events and activities, particularly during the colder and wetter months.

Alongside the fitness and music events that take place in the park, Louise hopes to support new activities that celebrate Brinton Park’s unique heritage and natural environment.

In the next few weeks, Louise will be getting to know the Brinton Park project and reviewing the existing Activity Plan. She will also work with colleagues on the final details for the new community room, making sure it is a friendly and useful space for local people.
