The garden is designed to help attract a wide range of pollinating insects like butterflies and bees, revitalising the park’s natural wildlife.

In total 800 plants, purchased by Wyre Forest District Council, were planted by volunteers from the Emily Jordan Foundation (Twigs), the West Midlands Butterfly Conservation Trust, WFDC Parks staff, Ranger Service and project volunteers.

Who uses the park?

We carried out visitor observation surveys in March and July 2019 to find out more about when and why people visit. Among the findings we discovered the top 3 activities were walking, walking dogs and using the playground. Around a quarter of visitors have a dog and almost three quarters of people visit the park with others.
